雅思阅读中那些“分词定语”详解

　　很多学生常常黑着眼圈er问两个问题：

　　A: 老师，单词背不下来怎么办？

　　B: 老师，单词倒是背下来了不少，可我还是看不懂文章怎么办？？

　　今天我们来系统性地回答一下第一个问题：背！使劲背！！疯狂背！！！（充电5分钟，循环20次）

　　好，下一个。

　　学生A：单词背的七七八八了，为什么拿到雅思阅读文章，还是读的这么费劲.....？

　　老师B：因为，阅读中也不是只有单词，还有句式结构语法知识。这些复杂长难句式的存在，混淆了我们的视听，以至于时常让单纯的我们连主干都找不到～

　　今天，我们就来着重体会一下，雅思阅读中常出现的‍♀️分词做后置定语这个句式结构：

　　我们先看这么一个句子：

　　心里明镜的学生，其实一目了然这就是个简单句～

　　主干成分拎一拎：those find sounds painful and distressing 主谓宾宾补

　　分词做后置定语现象：

　　experiencing these disorders 做those的后置定语

     generated by machinery 做noise 的后置定语

　　翻译：那些经历紊乱的(人)常常发现像人群噪音以及由机器产生的噪音令人感到痛苦。

　　例1: Furthermore, the benefits associated with bilingual experience seem to start very early.

• 主干成分：the benefit seem to start early 主系表

• 分词做定语后置

　　associated with bilingual experience 做benefits的后置定语

• 翻译：而且，双语能力经历所带来的好处似乎在很早的时候就体现出来了　　

　　例2: Health geography is the combination of, on the one hand, knowledge regarding geography and methods used to analyse and interpret geographical information.

• 主干成分：Health geography is the combination of knowledge and methods  主系表

• 分词做后置定语

　　 1  regarding geography 做knowledge的后置定语

　　 2 used to analyse and interpret geographical information 做methods的后置定语

• 翻译：健康的地理环境一方面是关于地理的知识和用于分析和解读地理信息的方法的结合

　　例3: Joseph Paxton's Crystal Palace at London’s Great Exhibition of 1851 marked the beginning of glass as a material used in the building industry.

• 主干成分：Jpseph Paxton's Crystal Palace marked the beginning  主谓宾

• 分词作后置定语：used in the building industry 做后置定语修饰material

• 翻译：约瑟夫帕克斯顿的水晶宫在伦敦的1851年的大展览标志着玻璃作为建筑材料使用的开始。
